A Great Way to Start out 2010

I've been plugging away at writing novels for about the past year. I completed two novels, a novella for children, a 'time travel' novella, and I have started a third novel. Wow! On my birthday (a few days into the New Year) I signed a contract with Echelon Press for ebook publication of 11:11 'Countdown to 2012.' Also, on my birthday, I received a phone call from the local bookstore that they had sold out of the 11:11 books and wanted more. Not a bad way to start out the year!

It a great feeling knowing that you have accomplished something you always wanted to do, but, for whatever reason, could never find the time. And when someone else appreciates your hard work, it's a really great feeling!

Writing accomplishments from the past year or so:

11:11 'Countdown to 2012';
The Theory of Everything;
Far Into Yesterday;
Restoring 'Tween Time: A Roscoe Creme Adventure;
several ezine articles;
now in the works: Gentle Planet;
my own website: VernaClay.com

My advice: It's not always easy reaching goals (I'm the prime example), but a little each day adds up to a lot over a year. This has been my lesson from the past year.

Happy goal setting and accomplishing! 2010 is going to be a great year!
